What is SadaPay?

We’re a fintech pushing a new, digital-first financial lifestyle: where money is so simple, that any other way becomes unthinkable. In an environment like Pakistan’s, where more than three-quarters of the population is unbanked, financial services need to be drastically reshaped. Enter SadaPay: all you need to get started is a CNIC, a phone number, and a smartphone. We’ve also put some of your worst banking nightmares to rest with no hidden fees, free local transfers, a free debit Mastercard, and a payments experience that’s actually delightful. When you pair all this with friendly customer service and a brightly colored debit card, finance can be fun!

Why is this role important?

We’re a financial institution, so technically, dealing with people’s finances is the most important company function. Settlements deal with finances, so you probably know where we’re going with this. Settlements monitors, tracks and reports the funds we receive from our partners, such as MasterCard.  You’re going to be closely recording money that’s coming into the company, see where it goes, and make sure everything’s on track. You’re also going to be tracking transactions to see if the costs associated with them are being met.

What We Are Looking For:

If you’re someone who’s great at reporting, reconciliation is an  Excel whiz and has handled transaction settlements in the past, we’d love to hear from you! We’re especially interested in people who love critical thinking, problem-solving and are creative and eager to streamline and automate processes.

As a Sadanaut You Will:

  1. Prepare daily association settlement and reconciliation reports
  2. Prepare daily host reconciliation reports
  3. Prepare settlement vouchers for posting in bank ledgers
  4. Maintain reconciliation for SadaPay’s settlement account
  5. Perform 360° reconciliation between host  reports, association reports, and settlement funds
  6. Identify and resolve anomalies in daily settlement reports
  7. Issue adjustment transactions to customers or partners

What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

  1. Proven expertise in delivering detailed, informative presentations and reports
  2. Basic understanding of MS Office
  3. A knack for working collaboratively and effectively in teams
  4. Being a smart worker: does your impact match your effort?
  5. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  6. Creativity: you have ideas, and you’re eager to implement them, optimizing SadaPay’s processes while you work
  7. An eye for evolution: you should be able to identify which of our processes need improvement, and better them while you work

Perks of Being at SadaPay:

  1. USD Denominated Salary - All our salaries are pegged to USD to help protect colleagues from the current state of inflation. In case the dollar depreciates against the PKR value, you will always be paid a minimum of your PKR salary.
  2. We’re a remote-first company which means our colleagues can work from our Islamabad office, home, or literally anywhere they want to 🙂 However, teams may decide internally whether it is required for them to work from the office or not.
  3. We offer a flexible leave policy to maintain a sustainable work-life balance and make sure our workspace feels like a second home to our colleagues. However, colleagues need to take complete responsibility and manage their work and leaves accordingly.
  4. Each Sadanaut, regardless of their grade, is covered by the same range of Life Insurance and Medical Insurance (both outpatient and inpatient care that includes their immediate family and parents)
  5. Provident fund contributions are provided to all our colleagues.
  6. A Laptop to help you get all your tasks done efficiently.

Equal Opportunity Provider:

At SadaPay, we pride ourselves on creating an environment which is inclusive for all. We want all our Sadanauts to feel welcome and comfortable in the workspace. We discourage discrimination of any kind and encourage respect among our fellow colleagues. Our recruitment process is fair for all, regardless of race, age, gender, color, religion, social status, disability, or ethnicity.
