As a fast-growing, remote-first company, managing payroll and benefits for a diverse, distributed team requires a high level of accuracy, compliance, and a proactive approach. The People Analytics and Payroll Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining trust by ensuring every Sadanaut is paid correctly and on time, directly impacting employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
As a Sadanaut, you will:
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance with local labor laws, and timely salary disbursements.
- Manage payroll records, including deductions, tax withholdings, benefits, bonuses, and commissions, ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, benefits, tax calculations, pay slips, and other compensation matters, providing prompt and accurate support.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including tax filings, social security contributions, and other regulatory obligations.
- Conduct payroll audits to verify accuracy and compliance, addressing discrepancies proactively.
- Support year-end activities, such as tax filings, salary revisions, and employee bonuses, in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Coordinate with external vendors to manage employee benefits, retirement plans, and insurance, ensuring smooth administration of all benefits.
- Assist in developing and implementing payroll policies to enhance efficiency and streamline processes.
What it takes to become a Sadanaut:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced, remote-first, or startup environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy to ensure error-free payroll processing.
- Strong communication skills for handling payroll inquiries and working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
