We’ve finally gotten our license!

Two years ago, we started building SadaPay with a mission: to make money so “sada” (simple) that any other way becomes unthinkable. 

Well, we’re going to let you in on some big news: our efforts have finally paid off! The State Bank of Pakistan has given us a full commercial license to operate as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), and we couldn’t be more grateful 🎉

Here’s why it's such an important milestone `for us, and for you:

It was a very long long pilot phase, where we were busy beefing up our systems, meeting compliance requirements & security standards, and beta testing with our earliest users. Now, the license gives us the green light to roll out to the public, with the aim of creating Pakistan’s most loved financial institution.

Everyone at SadaPay had been looking forward to this news from the moment we started out, and we’re immensely proud of our brilliant colleagues who helped us get here. Our family of (now 120+) colleagues has been working tirelessly  to build a financially happier Pakistan for all of you – where banking’s more enjoyable, less complex ❤️

What’s next?

Okay, full disclosure: our waitlist still exists, and it might still take a little more time for you to get your card. But, with this update, we’ll start onboarding more and more people every day according to their waitlist positions. What’s different, then, you ask? The initial rollout may start off slow so that we can maintain our high customer service standards. But very soon, we’ll be onboarding thousands of users every day. 📈

Can I get an account sooner?

If you want to get your account earlier, you can invite your friends to join the waitlist. If you invite 10 friends, you also become a SadaPay Founders Club member and get a limited edition Black card ⚫️ (in addition to other perks).

Waiting is never fun, but for now, it’s the best way for us to give you the extraordinary experience you deserve.
