In his new role, Eli will be responsible for driving the company’s technology strategy, scaling our engineering teams and building next generation payment products for SadaPay.

SadaPay is thrilled to announce that Eli Mydlarz will be joining the team as our Head of Engineering. He will be joining us from GoJek – the Indonesian “super-app” that has been revolutionizing payments in Southeast Asia through its financial services division. At GoJek, Eli led the PayLater team, which he scaled to 30 engineers and supported  USD $12,000,000 of lending per month. Before that, he spent most of his career at ThoughtWorks (one of the world’s top agile product development consultancies), where he also helped train new joiners to build amazing products.

Eli comes on board with an incredible track record of leading highly motivated engineering teams that deliver world-class technology products. At GoJek, Eli helped multiply the number of monthly transacting users, helped to halve the rate of customer complaints, launched key features for the business and made important technical improvements to support continued growth. He believes in creating a team culture where everyone can learn, grow and contribute while keeping the bar high. He has a background in multiple disciplines, including design, business, computer science, teaching and artificial intelligence.

Eli will work closely with CTO Jon Sheppard and SadaPay’s fast growing technology team. He will extend his expertise to deliver delightful user experiences across the numerous products in SadaPay’s product roadmap. Having seen the monumental rise of cashless payments in Indonesia over the past 5 years, Eli is full of optimism for a similar trajectory in Pakistan and is excited by the impact SadaPay can have on the 220 million strong population.
