Why is this role important?

The Assistant Manager - Finance & Reporting plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of SadaPay’s financial reporting. This role comes with full ownership of reporting for multiple entities, requiring a deep understanding of business commercials to analyze financial impacts and provide valuable insights. By maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and producing reliable financial reports, this position directly supports the CFO and Financial Controller in driving sound financial decision-making and sustaining the company’s growth.

As a Sadanaut you will:

  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department for the operating and holding companies including:
    • Month- and year-end processes
    • Accounts payable/receivable
    • General ledger maintenance
    • Revenue and expenditure variance analysis
    • Capital assets reconciliations
    • Trust account statement reconciliations
    • Fixed asset activity and debt activity
  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions and support in processing vendor payments
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports at both individual entity and consolidated levels
  • Reconcile bank statements and review monthly bank reconciliation reports
  • Manage the monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and cash flows
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits with independent auditors
  • Prepare and submit SBP regulatory reports using SBP reporting templates
  • Coordinate the preparation of budget and financial forecasts, and report variances
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles in line with GAAP and applicable accounting standards
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, producing accurate financial reports/statements for both holding and operating companies
  • Reconcile and maintain intercompany balances
  • Maintain banking relationships and negotiate loans/merchant services for business units
  • Coordinate preparation of regulatory reporting to both the SBP and the parent company
  • Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance
  • Research and prepare feasibility studies for new business ventures
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions where needed

What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

  • ACCA, ICMA, ACA preferred but not mandatory
  • 5–6 years of experience in finance, ideally within a financial institution
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite (Excel expertise is a must)
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail
