SadaPay recruits Harvard LLM, Zainab Samantash, as Head of Legal

We’re pleased to announce that Zainab Samantash has joined SadaPay as our Head of Legal. This appointment is a testament to SadaPay’s emphasis on enlisting top-tier talent to help achieve its mission of bringing modern financial services to millions of Pakistanis. Based out of our Islamabad office, Zainab will work closely with the compliance function to build a robust legal infrastructure for our innovative financial products.

Zainab obtained her LLB Honors from the University of London with a First Class Distinction and later completed her LLM from Harvard Law School. In her distinguished legal career, she has represented notable entities such as Tencent Corporation in the overturning of the ban on PUBG mobile game by the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan in addressing a breach of internal corporate databases. She has also advised Google LLC, a former White House advisor, and worked with legal teams representing high-profile government officials.

In her new role, Zainab will manage all legal affairs related to the company’s structure, guide corporate governance and regulatory compliance, and oversee contract negotiation, risk management, and policy development. Her strategic thinking and deep knowledge of legal frameworks will lead SadaPay’s legal wing as we continue to push boundaries in Pakistan’s financial landscape.
